Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship Program 2019

 

The Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center Department of Dermatology is pleased to announce that the application for DERMATOLOGIC SURGERY (Procedural Dermatology) FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM is now officially open.

 

It offers a 12-month program which provides comprehensive and integrated teaching in all aspects of procedural dermatology including advanced dermatologic procedures, Mohs Micrographic surgery, laser surgery and aesthetic procedures above all.

The strength of the program lies in the advanced training of fellows through presentation of complex dermatologic surgical cases, emphasis on interdisciplinary interactions and collaborations, and application of technology driven innovations in patient care.

Requirements for the application process include:

• Fully accomplished application form
• Curriculum vitae with recent 2x2 photograph
• Letter of Intent from the Applicant addressed to the Medical Center Chief
• Two (2) Recommendation Letters from the Chairman and Residency Training Officer of your institution
• Certified True Copy of PRC Board Rating and PRC license
• Certified True Copy of Residency Training Certificate
• Certified True Copy of Diplomate Certificate
• Medical Certificate

Application for Dermatology Residency Training 2019

For interested applicants, the following requirements must be submitted to the MEDICAL TRAINING OFFICE (5th Floor - Main Building):

  • Handwritten letter of application addressed to: (handwriting must be legible)

  • Two (2) passport size pictures (preferably coloured on a white background)
  • Medical School Transcript of Record
  • Class ranking and general weighted average from College Secretary/Dean
  • Certificate of Internship Training
  • PRC Board Rating
  • PRC Certificate/ Diploma
  • Service Record of previous employment if any (xerox copy)
  • Updated certification of good moral character from two (2) persons/official of integrity
  • Birth Certificate from National Statistics Office
  • Completely filled up Personal Data Sheet (obtained from the Training Office)
  • Updated Basic Life Support training certificate (to be submitted once accepted for residency)

Submit your requirements on or before September 24, 2018.

Date of written examination: September 26, 2018.

Lex et Dermatologia

July 27, 2016 – JRRMMC Department of Dermatology hosted this month’s PDS CME activity in partnership with the Dermatologic Surgery core team, entitled Lex et Dermatologia,  Law and Dermatology making sure dermatologist are aptly empowered in handling legal case. They talked about basic legal concepts valuable to the dermatology practice, hypothetical legal cases, in favor of and against dermatologists, so that practicing dermatologists can better prepare themselves, and hopefully avoid legal problems.

It was a night of Glitter and Gold as we send off our  latest graduates ( Batch 2015), last December 18, 2015 in Muralla Ballroom, The Bayleaf, Intramuros. 

Ms Tricia Robredo, represents her mother Cong. Leni Robredo, with a  heartfelt message and the induction of the new members of the Skin Research Foundation of the Philippines.

We would like to congratulate Batch 2015, and wish them a shimmering career as dermatologists!

First Friday of 2016!

We welcome the first Friday of the year January 8, 2016 with the new conference room located above the DOH Botika and laboratory. Dr. Czarina Pineda opens the Friday conference by introducing one of our beloved alumni, Dr. Melanie Doria- Ruiz who gave a lecture on the scoring system for immunobullous diseases.

 

Dr. Ron Dagala and Dr. Eds Dipasupil-Sanchez then gave their Morbidity and Mortality reports. 

 

We hope this conference room will be a venue of knowledge and discourse for the betterment of our dermatologists.

New Hang Out: Library!

The residents of JRRMMC Dermatology have found another place to call 'home': the newly renovated library! This is located a floor above the laboratory building. The library offers updated books, journals, and previous researches and reports. Kodachromes will soon be available for quick references and reviews. PDS Quiz Bee 2013

Jose Reyes Department of Dermatology showed up in full-force to support our quiz bee candidates, Dr. Ma. Cricelda "Dang" Rescober and Dr. Hester Lim for the "PDS Quiz Bee Cup". The event was the right blend of fun, trivia, and education. Our candidates garnered the highest total number of points, and placed in the finals of the event. Congratulations!

Look what article we found in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology! We would like to congratulate our Chief Resident, Mara Therese P. Evangelista for  her winning poster at the Orlando Dermatology Aesthetic and Clinical Conference (ODAC): the 4th Annual Poster Competition!
